Project Director – Large‑Scale Infrastructure

About the role

The Project Director will lead the strategic management and delivery of large‑scale infrastructure projects from inception through construction, commissioning, handover and close‑out. Reporting to senior leadership, you will act as the primary executive representative of AECOM, ensuring projects meet contractual, quality, safety, budget and sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for multi‑disciplinary project teams.
• Oversee technical, commercial, contractual, financial and stakeholder management activities.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved programmes, quality standards and client expectations.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, government authorities, utility providers, contractors and senior management.
• Drive successful project delivery within approved schedule, budget, safety and sustainability parameters.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years (240 months) of experience managing large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams through all project phases.
• Strong understanding of contractual frameworks, financial controls and stakeholder engagement.
