Project Engineer - Civil

About the role

Gardinia Contracting, a leading construction firm behind landmark Dubai projects such as Burj Azizi and Azizi Venice, is seeking a Project Engineer – Civil to join its on‑site team. The role will support the delivery of luxury residential, commercial and hospitality developments by coordinating all civil‑work activities and ensuring timely completion.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all online site transactions on the Dubai Building Permits System (BPS) and Dubai Municipality portal.
• Review drawings, specifications, quality plans and client requirements to gather data for work execution and material requests.
• Prepare sketches and illustration drawings to guide foremen during execution.
• Coordinate with consultants, Dubai Municipality, subcontractors and internal teams to resolve site issues.
• Monitor schedule compliance, inspect work, and hand over completed sections to consultants and the municipality.
• Produce project status reports, daily program reports, material requisitions and short‑term detailed schedules for critical activities.
• Collaborate with the safety team and attend kickoff and vendor meetings to align engineering and procurement schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Project Engineer in construction or contracting.
• Prior experience in the UAE/GCC market is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Dubai Building Permits System (BPS).
• Familiarity with the Dubai Municipality portal.
