Project Engineer – Civil (Sewage & Water Distribution)

About the role

The client in Abu Dhabi seeks a Project Engineer – Civil to lead technical and organisational aspects of sewage and water distribution network projects. As a core member of the site management team, you will ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance while coordinating resources on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on‑site activities for sewage and water distribution projects.
• Act as the primary technical adviser for subcontractors, labourers and operatives.
• Set out, survey, and verify site layouts against plans and drawings.
• Check calculations, quantities and specifications for accuracy.
• Oversee material selection, procurement and compliance with project specifications.
• Manage, monitor and interpret contract design documents.
• Liaise with consultants, sub‑contractors, quantity surveyors and the broader workforce.
• Ensure adherence to local authority regulations and by‑laws.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of hands‑on experience in sewage and water distribution network projects.
• Proven ability to manage site resources, health & safety and quality control.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with consultants, authorities and on‑site teams.
