Project Engineer – Design, Authority Approvals & Fit‑Out

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Project Engineer to lead design, authority approvals and fit‑out activities for commercial, industrial and warehouse modification projects in the UAE. The role combines technical design work, liaison with government bodies and hands‑on site supervision to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare architectural, shop and authority submission drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layout plans, elevations and modification drawings for warehouses, offices and industrial facilities.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and architectural consultants to ensure design compliance.
• Prepare and submit documentation to Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, JAFZA and DDA, and follow up until permits are granted.
• Attend authority inspections, address technical comments and manage approvals.
• Plan and monitor project execution, schedules, resources and subcontractor activities.
• Engage with clients to clarify requirements, explain approval procedures and provide engineering advice.
• Prepare BOQs, quantity take‑offs, material estimates and cost quotations.
• Supervise site works, ensure compliance with approved drawings, and monitor quality, safety and workmanship.
• Maintain project records, technical reports and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• UAE driving licence.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the UAE.
• Hands‑on experience with authority approvals (DM, Trakhees, JAFZA, DDA).
• Experience in warehouse modifications, commercial fit‑outs or industrial projects.
• Proven ability to prepare BOQs and perform cost estimation.

Required skills

• AutoCAD proficiency.
