Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead petrochemical projects from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and will involve coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high‑quality results on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for petrochemical projects.
• Manage engineering deliverables, interfaces, schedules and technical queries.
• Liaise with clients, licensors, vendors, contractors and internal disciplines.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with scope, specifications, quality and HSE requirements.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning and project close‑out activities.
• Identify and manage technical risks, changes and interface issues.
• Participate in project reviews and prepare progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience, including at least 5 years in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar role on international major Oil & Gas or petrochemical projects.
• Proven experience in FEED and detailed engineering within an EPC or engineering consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of petrochemical process units, utilities and off‑site facilities.
• Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
