Project HSE Manager – 2 Year Fixed-Term

About the role

The Project HSE Manager will lead and oversee all health, safety and wellbeing activities for DP World projects in Fujairah. The role ensures compliance with DP World standards, UAE legislation and international best practices while driving a Zero Harm culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of DP World’s HSE strategy, policies and objectives.
• Act as subject‑matter expert and advise project leadership on health and safety matters.
• Develop, implement and maintain project‑specific Health & Safety Management Plans.
• Review project plans, method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Evaluate contractor HSE competency, conduct onboarding and monitor performance.
• Lead HSE audits, inspections and performance reviews of contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near‑misses and occupational health events, and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure appropriate inductions, task‑specific training and competency verification.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
• Report on project HSE performance indicators and dashboards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing health, safety and wellbeing on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety legislation and DP World standards.
• Ability to liaise with government authorities and local stakeholders.
• Excellent investigative, analytical and reporting skills.
• Leadership capability to promote a proactive HSE culture.
