Project Manager - Fitout

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Project Manager for fitout projects in Dubai. The role oversees interior fit-out projects from initiation to completion, covering planning, coordination, execution and delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans, schedules and budgets; define scope, goals and deliverables with clients and stakeholders
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with local regulations, permits and approvals
• Manage day-to-day operations and site supervision, coordinating design, procurement, subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor progress, allocate resources and resolve technical or logistical issues
• Ensure quality standards, specifications and design requirements are met, and enforce health and safety regulations
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure timely rectification of defects
• Act as main contact for clients, consultants and vendors, providing updates, reports and documentation
• Control budgets and costs, manage change orders, variations and claims, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain contracts, invoices and approvals, prepare progress reports and handle close-out, handover and snag list resolution

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in fitout project management
• Strong knowledge of fitout works, materials and construction techniques
• Preferred: experience in commercial, retail, F&B, hospitality and office fitouts, and knowledge of local building regulations and authority approvals
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project and Primavera
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
