Project Quality Manager

About the role

CB&I is seeking a Project Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and control activities across its projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures compliance with contracts, standards, regulations and internal policies throughout design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Understand contract, sub‑contract and local regulatory quality requirements.
• Prepare, maintain and implement the Project Quality Plan.
• Allocate sufficient QA/QC resources for design, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning.
• Report project quality performance to senior QA/QC and area quality managers.
• Deliver and document project‑specific quality training.
• Ensure staff compliance with HSE requirements.
• Act as the focal point for quality issues and provide resolutions.
• Coordinate procedure program implementation, including new procedure generation and revisions.
• Develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and detailed QA/QC plans with engineering.
• Establish preventive maintenance schedules for contract materials and equipment.
• Work with corporate welding technology to develop WPS and PQR documentation.
• Maintain welder/operator qualifications and production test plate requirements.
• Implement material identification and traceability controls.
• Review project deliverables and subcontractor quality documentation for compliance.

Required profile

• Thorough understanding of contract and sub‑contract quality requirements.
• Familiarity with local quality‑related regulations.
• Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive Project Quality Plan.
• Capability to allocate QA/QC resources across all project phases.
• Experience reporting quality performance to senior management.
• Commitment to ensuring HSE compliance throughout the project.
