Project Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Waagner Biro Bridge Services, a leading construction engineering company in Dubai, delivers innovative end‑to‑end solutions for government and private‑sector clients across design, construction and maintenance. The Project Quantity Surveyor will support project cost management, tender preparation and contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documentation.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify project requirements and cost implications.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and cost analysis for construction projects.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost‑control processes.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative analyses.
• Administer contracts, variations, progress claims and final accounts.
• Monitor project expenditures and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants and contractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5–7 years proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction projects.
• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts and cost management.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying and estimation software.
• Expertise in BOQ preparation and tendering processes.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, CostX and Planswift.
