Purchase Engineer

About the role

The Purchase Engineer will join Vertiv's Purchasing team in Dubai, providing essential support for day‑to‑day procurement activities. This entry‑level position focuses on administrative duties, data management and basic purchasing tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data entry, file management and document organization for purchasing functions.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier information and inventory data.
• Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing reports and creating presentations.
• Process purchase orders, track their status and follow up with suppliers.
• Conduct basic research on suppliers and products to aid purchasing decisions.
• Support supplier relationship management and resolve minor issues.
• Coordinate with receiving and warehouse teams to keep inventory levels accurate.
• Generate weekly and monthly reports on purchasing activity and inventory status.
• Assist with expense tracking and invoice reconciliation.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing administrative or purchasing environment preferred.
• Strong organizational, multitasking and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
