Python Backend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Python Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and help build the core services of our AI‑driven SaaS platform for real‑estate investment. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend systems that power secure APIs and integrate with multiple third‑party services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Build production‑ready applications with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Create secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Develop microservices and distributed systems, integrating payment gateways, CRM, AI platforms and other SaaS providers.
• Design efficient database schemas and optimise complex SQL queries for PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Implement authentication mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth2, and API keys.
• Write reusable, well‑documented code following clean‑architecture principles.
• Develop unit, integration and API tests to ensure reliability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise backend performance in production.
• Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, QA, Product and AI engineers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and solid experience with FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Deep understanding of REST API and GraphQL design.
• Proven ability to build scalable backend architectures.
• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, plus experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Familiarity with authentication standards (JWT, OAuth2) and containerisation (Docker).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and asynchronous programming (async/await).
