QA/QC Engineer – Cable Installation Projects

About the role

Riyadh Cables Group is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to ensure the highest quality standards on cable installation projects across Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and the construction team to guarantee compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ITPs and quality requirements before work starts.
• Coordinate quality‑related activities with the client/consultant, project manager, construction team and subcontractors.
• Verify that cable installation follows approved pulling calculations, manufacturer recommendations and project requirements.
• Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is calibrated and holds valid calibration certificates.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and enforce compliance with the project’s Quality Management System.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in construction, infrastructure or HV/EHV cable projects.
• Prior involvement in TRANSCO/TAQA transmission projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with 132kV–400kV cable laying and transmission projects is an advantage.
