QA/QC Engineer & Material Engineer – Landscaping

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer (Landscaping) is responsible for guaranteeing that all landscaping works – softscape, hardscape, irrigation and soil preparation – meet the highest quality, safety and environmental standards. The role involves establishing QA/QC procedures, conducting inspections, and coordinating with project teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, checklists and guidelines for landscaping projects.
• Perform on‑site inspections and testing of materials, workmanship and installation processes.
• Monitor softscape (plants, trees, turf) and hardscape (pavements, structures, water features) to verify correct execution.
• Oversee irrigation system installation, testing functionality and confirming design compliance.
• Review and approve landscaping materials, soil quality, fertilizers and irrigation components.
• Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results and non‑conformance reports.
• Prepare corrective action plans, root‑cause analyses and regular progress reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality expectations.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in civil, landscape or material engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in QA/QC for construction or landscaping projects.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, environmental regulations and client requirements.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, quality audits and generate detailed reports.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with project teams, contractors and suppliers.
