QC Inspector – Painting

About the role

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector – Painting will ensure that all painting, coating and HVAC works meet the required standards on oil & gas EPC projects. You will work closely with construction, engineering and HSE teams to verify compliance with client and regulatory specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and quality procedures.
• Inspect surface preparation, abrasive blasting, painting and protective coating activities, including cleanliness, profile, ambient conditions, paint mixing, application method, wet‑film and dry‑film thickness.
• Verify paint material batch numbers, expiry dates, storage conditions and manufacturer certificates.
• Inspect HVAC ductwork, supports, dampers, insulation, equipment installation and piping; check duct dimensions, alignment, joint sealing, pressure and air‑leakage testing.
• Witness flushing, pressure testing, balancing and commissioning activities.
• Raise inspection requests, issue NCRs for non‑conforming work and monitor corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain inspection reports, test records, calibration certificates and quality dossiers.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of QC inspection experience in oil & gas, EPC or industrial projects.
• Relevant experience in painting/coating and HVAC inspection; UAE and ADNOC project exposure preferred.
• BGAS, NACE/AMPP or equivalent coating certification preferred.
