QC Welding Inspector – Tanks & Piping Projects

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Quality Control Inspector specialized in welding to support tank and piping projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all welding and fabrication activities meet project specifications, ADNOC standards, and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify welding work according to approved WPS, drawings, and applicable codes.
• Conduct visual inspections of welds, fit‑ups, and joint preparations.
• Monitor welding parameters and confirm compliance with qualified procedures.
• Review material certificates and welding consumables for traceability.
• Coordinate and witness NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and interpret results.
• Identify non‑conformances, prepare inspection reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients, third‑party inspectors, and internal teams to ensure project quality requirements are met.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid welding inspection certification (CSWIP 3.1, AWS‑CWI, or equivalent approved by ADNOC).
• 3–5 years of experience as a welding QC inspector, preferably on tank and piping projects in oil & gas.
• Strong knowledge of international codes such as ASME, API, and AWS.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards and specifications.
