Quality Control Senior Engineer

About the role

The Senior Quality Control Engineer will lead civil quality assurance activities for OHTL (Overhead Transmission Line) foundation projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that all construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor project Quality Control Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for civil works.
• Conduct inspections of site preparation, surveying, excavation, reinforcement, concrete works, waterproofing, backfilling, and foundation finishing.
• Verify construction activities against IFC drawings and raise Inspection Requests (IRs) with client/consultant.
• Ensure foundations are built to approved structural and civil drawings, checking dimensions, alignment, reinforcement, and concrete mix design.
• Inspect and approve incoming civil materials, review certificates, and coordinate laboratory testing.
• Control hold points, witness points, and review points, maintaining accurate inspection records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil quality control for OHTL or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and testing procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with construction, engineering, client, and consultant teams.
• Attention to detail and capability to identify and correct deficiencies.
