Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Fit-Out

About the role

Careers International is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial interior fit-out experience for a full-time position in Dubai. The role covers quantity take-offs, cost estimation, quotations, tendering, variations, progress billing, vendor coordination and overall commercial management of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, detailed cost estimates and competitive quotations for new projects
• Review drawings, specifications and BOQs, analyse costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare and review tender documents, obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, and prepare comparative statements and commercial analysis
• Support vendor evaluation and appointment processes and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors
• Manage variation orders, identify additional works, and prepare and submit progress billings
• Monitor project costs and commercial status and coordinate with project teams on completed works and billing
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and site teams and follow up with suppliers and subcontractors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of UAE/Dubai experience in a similar QS role; strong experience in commercial interior fit-out preferred
• Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory)
• Proven experience handling complete QS functions from take-off and tendering through variations, billing and commercial coordination is preferred
