Quantity Surveyor – Fitout

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Estimation Engineer to join a leading interior fit‑out company in Dubai. The role will manage all cost and commercial aspects of interior fit‑out projects, from estimation and tendering through to final handover, ensuring projects stay within budget while delivering maximum value.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation for interior fit‑out projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and material requirements to produce accurate pricing.
• Source, evaluate and compare quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Manage project budgets, track costs and produce financial progress reports.
• Process variations, interim valuations and final accounts.
• Conduct site visits for measurement, progress verification and cost monitoring.
• Assist in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contractual and financial terms.
• Support procurement by identifying cost‑effective materials and subcontractors.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement value‑engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain documentation of all commercial activities, including purchase orders, agreements and payment certificates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quantity surveying within the interior fit‑out industry.
• Strong knowledge of fit‑out materials, finishes, joinery and MEP coordination.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD and estimation software such as Candy or CostX.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical and negotiation abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
