Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our EPC team in Abu Dhabi, supporting oil & gas projects. The role involves preparing detailed quantity take‑offs, valuations and cost control for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs for MEP systems based on specifications and drawings.
• Develop and update interim valuations, submit payment applications and certify subcontractor payments.
• Analyse drawings and submittals to identify deviations and prepare variation notices or claims.
• Collaborate with planning engineers to draft delay notices and maintain cash‑flow forecasts.
• Participate in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors and prepare final account statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a diploma in quantity surveying.
• 4‑5 years of experience in the oil & gas or construction industry, with at least 3 years as a Quantity Surveyor on large projects.
• HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

Required skills

• Quantification and cost estimation.
• Knowledge of standard measurement methods such as CESMM and POMI.
• Proficiency with cost estimating software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Understanding of risk management procedures and contract administration.
