Railway System Engineer – Interface Engineer

About the role

RINA Consulting is seeking a Railway System Engineer – Interface Engineer to join its Al Ain office. The role focuses on designing, integrating and optimizing railway systems across the full project lifecycle, from concept through operation and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage system requirements, architecture and interfaces between rolling stock, signaling, tracks, power supply and communications.
• Ensure interoperability of subsystems and validate compatibility with national and international standards such as ERTMS, CBTC and PTC.
• Optimize system performance for capacity, energy consumption and reliability.
• Develop and execute verification and validation plans in line with project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Lead upgrades, modernization projects and support asset management and maintenance planning.
• Implement digital solutions including IoT, AI, Big Data, Digital Twin, remote monitoring and smart signalling technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of system engineering experience in railway projects.
• Proven experience in requirements, interface and configuration management.
