Ramp Duty Manager

About the role

The Ramp Duty Manager is responsible for planning and executing all ground handling activities at Zayed International Airport to meet commercial and operational objectives. Working 24‑hour shifts, you will ensure safe, efficient airside operations while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage airside operations during critical and non‑critical situations on a shift basis.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and adjust manpower according to demand.
• Deliver ramp KPIs in line with ground handling agreements and customer contracts.
• Lead a multicultural workforce, conduct evaluations, and handle disciplinary matters.
• Oversee operational systems, submit safety and performance reports timely.
• Collaborate with airport stakeholders and represent Velora Ground in airline discussions.
• Prepare accurate shift reports, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strong knowledge of airport operations, airside safety SOPs, security requirements, and emergency plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in airport or airline passenger handling, specifically ramp/airside operations.
• At least 3 years of experience managing large, diverse teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
