About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a senior UAE national to lead its commercial strategy for the APAC region. The role involves defining the overall sales approach, planning and directing an international sales force, and ensuring that sales targets are met efficiently to support Etihad’s broader objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define, execute and monitor short‑ and long‑term sales plans aligned with Etihad’s strategy.
• Lead strategic initiatives to achieve sales targets within budget and schedule.
• Prioritise selling activities, allocate resources, and manage channel strategy across the region.
• Champion continuous improvement and standardise regional processes and sales guidelines.
• Introduce new sales techniques and allocate resources to boost revenue and profitability.
• Identify major risks and issues, propose solutions, and communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Coach and develop direct reports, fostering leadership and professional growth.
• Use data‑driven insights to monitor performance, mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of aviation industry experience, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial role.
• Proven ability to manage senior‑level relationships and lead diverse, multi‑country teams.
• Consistent track record of delivering profitability and revenue targets.
• Strong innovative mindset and ability to thrive in a creative environment.
• UAE nationality is mandatory; relocation support is provided for the APAC assignment.
