Regional Tax Manager – UAE

About the role

Gateworth is supporting an investment client in Dubai that seeks a Regional Tax Manager to join a centralised finance team. Reporting to the CFO and a Financial Controller, you will own tax compliance, reporting and finance activities across the corporate business and a portfolio of private assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead UAE Corporate Tax, UAE VAT and any international tax compliance across the group.
• Own tax systems, processes, internal controls and manage all filings, reconciliations, submissions and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Maintain transfer‑pricing documentation, statutory records and audit‑ready tax files; develop a tax calendar to meet all deadlines.
• Identify tax risks, implement mitigating controls and support internal/external audits.
• Monitor changes in UAE, GCC and international tax legislation and advise management on business impact.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, operations and external advisors to embed tax considerations in strategic decisions.
• Support finance‑system optimisation to improve tax reporting and controls.
• Provide ad‑hoc reporting and broader finance support for entities as required.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in tax, compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Experience handling UAE Corporate Tax, UAE VAT and GCC corporate tax matters.
• Proven ability to manage tax systems, processes and internal controls.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
