About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Regulatory Affairs Coordinator to manage permit applications and compliance for short‑term rental properties. The role supports AvantStay’s rapid growth in the short‑term rental market by ensuring all properties meet local regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, review and submit permit applications for short‑term rental properties.
• Track and maintain up‑to‑date records of all permits, including renewal dates and conditions of approval.
• Monitor local regulations, zoning laws and municipal codes, providing timely updates to internal teams.
• Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities and manage compliance with approval conditions.
• Draft and review clear, professional correspondence, compliance reports and regulatory updates.
• Identify potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Research and interpret complex regulatory requirements, delivering concise guidance to stakeholders.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance permitting efficiency.
• Act as the primary contact for cross‑functional teams regarding government and municipal requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in an operational, fast‑paced role, preferably with a US‑based company.
• Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a hyper‑growth environment.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing compliance risks.
