Relationship Officer – General Insurance Sales

About the role

The Relationship Officer – General Insurance Sales is responsible for driving sales and providing comprehensive service for individual and group health insurance products. The role requires deep knowledge of market insurers, product benefits, exclusions, pricing and underwriting guidelines to support customers in making informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end sales and servicing of individual and group health insurance products.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of health insurers, including product benefits, exclusions, pricing and underwriting guidelines.
• Maintain and utilise a competition matrix to position the most suitable insurer solutions for customers.
• Provide clear comparisons across insurers to support informed decision‑making.
• Achieve assigned sales and portfolio targets for health insurance.
• Drive policy renewals, endorsements, member additions/deletions and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
• Execute all customer requests within defined turnaround times with zero errors.
• Promote cross‑selling of additional products across the existing customer base.
• Ensure renewal conversion rates align with business targets.
• Conduct all customer interactions through recorded calls or documented signed quotations.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, code of conduct and HR guidelines.
• Maintain consistent productivity and meet service level agreements and turnaround times.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience operating within a bank’s sales strategy, compliance guidelines and customer service standards.
• Ability to adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk management protocols.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, result orientation and problem‑solving abilities.
