Remote Rust Engineer – AI Data Training Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a remote Rust Engineer to work on AI data training projects. You will review and generate Rust code, evaluate reasoning quality, and provide detailed feedback to improve AI model outputs. The position is hourly paid and fully remote, offering flexibility while contributing to cutting‑edge AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Rust code and explanations, identifying errors in ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and algorithmic reasoning.
• Generate high‑quality Rust solutions and pedagogical explanations that demonstrate idiomatic patterns.
• Evaluate, rank, and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness, safety, and reasoning quality.
• Create detailed prompts and responses to guide AI learning across diverse topics.
• Test AI models for inaccuracies or biases and ensure reliable performance.

Required profile

• 1–2+ years of professional Rust development experience in backend, CLI, or systems‑focused projects.
• Strong understanding of Rust’s ownership, borrowing, and lifetime model.
• Solid software engineering experience in at least one of backend services, command‑line tools, or systems programming.
• Ability to evaluate safe, idiomatic Rust code, including proper use of traits, generics, pattern matching, and error handling.
• Experience using LLMs or AI coding assistants with a disciplined validation approach.
• Excellent English writing skills for precise, structured technical explanations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Detail‑oriented working style and minimum C1 English proficiency.
