Repairs Controller – Aircraft Component Repair Management

About the role

The Repairs Controller will plan and organise end‑to‑end processes for aircraft component repair and vendor management, ensuring timely and cost‑effective support to aircraft maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, assess and act on repair quotations in line with contracts and Product Support Agreements.
• Manage the flow of unserviceable components to external repair stations and oversee in‑house repair capability.
• Monitor and control repair costs, challenging vendors to achieve budgetary goals.
• Coordinate with internal workshops, maintenance planning, procurement and technical services to ensure smooth processes.
• Identify and assess new repair shops and develop alternate repair and supply sources.
• Organise shipping and logistics for aircraft parts, engines and APUs to suppliers.
• Establish KPIs, performance review structures and daily reporting for repair activities.
• Prioritise nil‑stock components to avoid AOG situations and ensure timely component availability.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, LAME or a technical diploma.
• Strong understanding of aircraft component repair processes and vendor management.
• Proven ability to improve processes through automation and effective system use.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Advanced Excel skills.
