Reservations Agent – Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a Reservations Agent to manage all reservation requests for our Dubai property. The role involves handling bookings, changes, and cancellations while delivering exceptional guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest needs, verify room availability and rates, and explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies.
• Accommodate and document special requests and answer questions about property facilities and services.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue and input accurate data into the reservation system.
• Code special room types such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent rates, and wholesale reservations.
• Follow escalation procedures for guest concerns and adhere to all company policies and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance, ensure guest privacy, and assist guests with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and courteously, develop positive working relationships, and support team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance standards and perform light physical tasks (lifting ≤10 lb).
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
