Reservoir Engineering Manager

About the role

The Reservoir Engineering Manager will lead the reservoir engineering group within Crescent Petroleum’s multidisciplinary subsurface team, driving field development planning and resource maturation across the company’s asset portfolio in Sharjah. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to communicate complex reservoir behavior to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the reservoir engineering group and oversee field development planning (FDP) for maturing assets.
• Integrate subsurface data, reservoir simulation, and economic evaluation to produce auditable, value‑maximised development plans aligned with corporate strategy and regulatory standards.
• Lead reservoir characterisation activities, including PVT studies, well tests, pressure surveillance, core analysis and the integration of geological, petrophysical and dynamic data.
• Monitor reservoir performance, develop continuous surveillance plans and support cash‑flow modelling, NPV/IRR assessments and sensitivity analyses for investment decisions.
• Recommend improvements to departmental policies, ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental procedures, and control project spend against budgets.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline with solid knowledge of drilling, geology, geophysics and operations.
• 18‑20+ years of professional experience in reservoir development, preferably with fractured carbonates, tight oil reservoirs and experience in the Middle East (Kurdistan/Iraq).
