Resident Engineer - Civil - Cables 132 KV And Above

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer – Civil to lead the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of 132 kV and higher voltage substations in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all civil works and cable installations meet project specifications, quality, safety and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise civil construction and cable installation for AIS/GIS substations (132 kV and above).
• Monitor erection of transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, isolators, protection panels and SCADA equipment.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications and HSE standards.
• Witness and review testing and commissioning activities and associated test reports.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients and project teams to achieve timely delivery.
• Track project progress, prepare site reports and resolve technical issues on‑site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on high‑voltage substation projects, especially 132 kV and above.
• Proven experience in AIS/GIS substation construction, testing & commissioning and site supervision.
• Experience working on EPC, utility, consulting or owner‑engineer projects.
