Resident Engineer

About the role

The Resident Engineer will oversee the execution of large‑scale infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents and client requirements. This senior position requires on‑site presence in Dubai and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor client program progress and ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Inspect workmanship and materials, and coordinate vertical and horizontal controls.
• Perform layout checks, grade verification, and coordinate with other clients.
• Maintain comprehensive records of workforce, equipment, progress, and safety.
• Review and approve shop drawings and final material submittals.
• Certify progress payments, evaluate variation and change orders, and prepare related documentation.
• Prepare monthly progress reports, including safety monitoring and accident reporting.
• Identify cost implications of additions or credits and recommend actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, especially roads, bridges and underpasses.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and infrastructure development.
• Proven project management skills, including budget and schedule control.
• Willingness to work on‑site and travel as project demands.
