Resident Engineer – Red Hat OpenShift & Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Resident Engineer specialized in Red Hat OpenShift and infrastructure to join our client’s onsite team in Dubai. The role focuses on designing, operating and supporting enterprise‑grade OpenShift clusters and the underlying Red Hat ecosystem. The successful candidate will work closely with Red Hat technical account managers and internal stakeholders to ensure high availability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, upgrade and scale OpenShift clusters, handling patching, routing, access control and monitoring.
• Perform advanced RHEL installation, configuration, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Manage Red Hat Satellite Server for lifecycle management, patching and provisioning of RHEL hosts.
• Coordinate with Red Hat TAM, open support cases and align with strategic initiatives.
• Conduct proactive health checks, capacity planning and system monitoring to avoid downtime.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Linux system administration and enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Proven expertise with Red Hat OpenShift (v4.x preferred) and container runtimes.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL 7/8/9/10 administration and lifecycle management.
• Experience administering Red Hat Satellite Server.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
