Restaurant Hostess

About the role

The Hostess creates a warm, welcoming first impression for all guests in the restaurant. She manages reservations, greets guests on arrival and coordinates seating to ensure smooth operations and a pleasant dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls within three rings using proper etiquette and record reservations or cancellations.
• Maintain the reservation book, pre‑assign tables, and handle special requests.
• Greet guests at the entrance, escort them to their designated tables and present the menu.
• Ensure tables are correctly set and the hostess stand is clean and organized.
• Monitor waiting lines during busy periods and organise procedures to minimise guest wait times.
• Assist the supervisor with cashiering procedures, balance checks and menu printing.
• Report for duty punctually in the correct uniform and name‑tag, maintaining high personal appearance standards.
• Follow all hotel policies, including fire, hygiene, health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• At least 1 year experience in a 4‑ to 5‑star hotel or similar guest‑service environment.
• Fluent English speaker; Arabic and French are a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional appearance.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
