Risk Manager – Enterprise Risk Management (Dubai)

About the role

The Risk Manager will support the Chief Risk Officer in maintaining an independent and effective enterprise risk management function for Orient Insurance PJSC, part of the Al‑Futtaim Group. Based in Dubai, the role focuses on identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting material risks while promoting a strong risk culture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the enterprise risk management framework, policies, risk taxonomy, risk register and committee governance.
• Support setting risk appetite, limits and key risk indicators; monitor exposures and escalate breaches.
• Provide independent challenge on strategy, business plans, products, pricing, underwriting, claims, reserving, reinsurance, investments, outsourcing, technology and major projects.
• Assess material risks including insurance, credit, market, liquidity, operational, conduct, regulatory, cyber, model, climate, concentration and emerging risks.
• Coordinate the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) linking risk profile, strategy, capital and solvency.
• Conduct stress, scenario and reverse‑stress testing and report vulnerabilities.

Required profile

• Experience in insurance risk management, preferably within UAE regulatory environment.
• Strong understanding of solvency, capital stress testing and ORSA processes.
• Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
