Risk Officer – ADGM

About the role

Arqaam Capital is seeking a Risk Officer to join its team in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) hub. The role focuses on identifying, measuring, and mitigating financial risks across credit, market, liquidity, operational and regulatory domains.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate the likelihood and impact of potential financial risks, including credit, market, liquidity, operational and regulatory risks.
• Serve as the Operational Risk Management subject‑matter expert, leading risk measurement, reporting, tracking and programme roll‑out.
• Interpret and quantify regulatory guidelines and investment restrictions.
• Develop and maintain risk analytics, risk control reporting, and management information dashboards.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure risk considerations are embedded throughout the trade lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related quantitative field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in risk management, treasury, audit or a comparable control function within a regulated financial institution.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks covering market, credit, liquidity and operational risk.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA or PRM are an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Bloomberg and portfolio‑management systems (e.g., Broadridge).
• Working knowledge of VBA, Power BI, SQL and Python.
• Solid analytical and quantitative techniques for risk measurement and reporting.
