Rockwork Foreman

About the role

The Rockwork Foreman will support the Rockworks Supervisor in planning, executing and monitoring rock‑handling activities on marine and dredging projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge of rock gradation, equipment selection and on‑site safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and plans to determine work requirements.
• Assist the Rockworks Supervisor with manpower distribution and equipment allocation.
• Monitor operator and equipment production, machine hours and fuel consumption for each activity.
• Choose appropriate machinery for specific rock‑work tasks and oversee barge loading and off‑loading of rocks.
• Prepare daily progress reports and forecast upcoming activities.
• Identify potential problems early, assess hazards and coordinate with the HSE department.
• Investigate incidents and make recommendations to improve safety.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate with a technical certification or equivalent.
• Minimum six years of experience in rock‑work or a similar industry.
• Proven ability to lead a multicultural team and manage personnel.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
