Rolling Stock Technician

About the role

KEOLIS is seeking a Rolling Stock Technician to join its Dubai Metro maintenance team. You will support the safe and efficient operation of passenger service vehicles, engineering support vehicles, shunting vehicles and wagons through hands‑on maintenance and inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance, minor modifications and routine inspections.
• Perform functional testing of electromechanical assemblies, replace electrical/electronic parts, and align components using hand, power and precision tools.
• Operate metal‑working machines, repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and verify dimensions against specifications.
• Diagnose faults quickly, replace components on‑site or in the depot, and conduct wheel truing using an under‑floor wheel lathe.
• Execute bogie overhauls every four to eight years, including work on traction motors, gear‑boxes, wheel‑sets and axle boxes.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in a computerized maintenance management system and follow Permit‑to‑Work procedures.
• Provide shift and emergency coverage and rotate to the First Line Response Technicians team as needed.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of car body, bogies, suspension, propulsion, brakes, batteries, auxiliary power, doors, HVAC, and train control systems.
• Good eyesight and normal colour vision.
• Ability to follow detailed maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
