Runner – Food & Beverage Service

About the role

The Runner supports the Food & Beverage team by delivering food and beverage items to guests promptly and professionally. Working in a fast‑paced hotel environment, you will ensure guests receive a seamless dining experience from the moment they order until they settle the bill.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests according to service standards.
• Set tables for various events and maintain proper presentation.
• Answer guest questions about menu selections and communicate any special dietary requirements to the kitchen.
• Record orders in the MICROS POS system and handle payment processing.
• Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, and service stations.
• Complete closing duties such as restocking, turning off lights, and securing the service area.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a food‑and‑beverage or hospitality role.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lb unaided and up to 50 lb with assistance.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS POS system.
