Safety And Security Lead

About the role

Careem is seeking a Safety and Security Lead to oversee day‑to‑day safety operations across its platform. You will be responsible for ensuring that every safety incident involving Captains or customers is handled quickly, consistently, and with empathy, supporting Careem’s mission to be the safest mobility service in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily safety operations in line with established policies and SOPs.
• Serve as the first point of coordination for safety incidents, triaging, logging, and managing cases from intake through resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation, ensure timely escalations, and close cases within defined SLAs.
• Provide empathetic follow‑up and support to Captains and customers involved in incidents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve safety processes and platform security.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safety operations or incident management within a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on consistency and compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
