Sales and Research Associate

About the role

We are looking for a target‑oriented Sales and Research Associate to join an agro‑commodity trading company. You will engage with vendors and clients across the agricultural supply chain, build strong relationships, and stay informed on market dynamics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relations with key suppliers, customers and brokers throughout the trade cycle.
• Gather, analyse and communicate market developments, recent transactions and price trends to stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities, expanding the customer base.
• Monitor commodity market trends to ensure competitive positioning.
• Manage credit risk by ensuring customers trade within approved limits and oversee payment follow‑up.
• Support operational tasks as needed and keep records up to date.
• Utilise ERP systems and Microsoft Office to prepare documents, presentations and maintain databases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, international trade, supply chain or a related field (preferred).
• 2‑3 years of experience in research, marketing or sales, preferably within agricultural commodities such as pulses, beans, rice or sugar.
• Strong verbal and written English skills and proficiency in Hindi or Urdu.
• Ability to work independently, high ambition and willingness to learn the commodity business.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
