Sales & Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

The company, a reputable international freight forwarding firm, is seeking a result‑oriented Sales and Business Development Manager for its Freight Forwarding division in Dubai. You will lead sales and business development activities, driving revenue growth, expanding business segments and developing project cargo networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑modal freight operations (air, sea, land) ensuring efficient execution and high customer‑centric service standards.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, generate leads, conduct field visits to importers/exporters and secure high‑value key accounts.
• Manage RFQ and tender processes, pricing, and complex commercial offers for cross‑border logistics solutions.
• Negotiate competitive ocean and air freight rates in collaboration with the pricing team.
• Maintain and grow customer relationships, upsell services, and generate repeat business.
• Utilise CRM and ERP systems to report sales performance and maintain dashboards.
• Forecast pipeline, prepare monthly budgets and business plans, and monitor credit exposure and payments.
• Coordinate with operations, documentation and finance teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.

Required profile

• MBA or degree in Marketing Management / Logistics Management from a recognised university.
• Diploma or recognised qualification in Freight Forwarding or DG cargo.
• Certification in logistics and project cargo management.
• 10–15 years of experience in freight forwarding sales, business development or related logistics roles.

Required skills
