Scaffolding Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Design Engineer to join our construction and interior fit‑out projects in Dubai. The role involves creating safe, practical and cost‑effective scaffolding solutions that meet project requirements and site conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare detailed scaffolding layouts, drawings and technical calculations.
• Develop safe and efficient scaffolding solutions for construction and fit‑out projects.
• Review project specifications, site conditions and structural requirements before drafting designs.
• Produce design drawings, material take‑offs and specifications that comply with local safety standards.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, consultants and scaffolding supervisors.
• Provide technical support during installation, modification and dismantling of scaffolding.
• Conduct site visits as needed to assess feasibility and verify requirements.
• Approve final scaffolding designs ensuring safety, quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Scaffolding Design Engineer, preferably in construction and interior fit‑out projects.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, design principles and structural calculations.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related design software.
