School Bus Driver – The Villa Branch

About the role

The School Bus Driver ensures the safe transportation of students to and from school, following established routes and safety protocols. This position requires a responsible driver who can maintain a courteous and professional environment for students, parents, and school staff.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the school bus safely, adhering to traffic laws and seat‑belt requirements.
• Follow designated routes and schedules, notifying the transportation coordinator of any delays.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain a safe, orderly bus environment, enforce rules, and report behavioral concerns.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, reporting incidents or wellbeing concerns.
• Respond to emergencies, including evacuations and first aid, and attend required training.
• Keep accurate records of routes, mileage, and incidents, submitting reports to the coordinator.
• Provide courteous customer service and build positive relationships with passengers.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements.
• UAE Driving License No.5 (mini bus/coaster) and/or No.6 (Heavy Bus).
• Completion of a school bus driver training program.
• 1–3 years of driving experience, including at least 1–2 years as a school bus driver.
