School Counsellor

About the role

The Indian Academy Dubai is seeking an experienced School Counsellor to join its team immediately. The successful candidate will support students in overcoming academic, personal, social, and career challenges through a comprehensive counselling programme.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate a school‑wide counselling and guidance programme.
• Conduct needs assessments, use data to identify priority areas and provide targeted support.
• Offer individual and group counselling, behavioural counselling and psychological/educational assessments.
• Support teachers with classroom guidance activities and curriculum delivery.
• Coordinate well‑being programmes and represent the school at orientation, career events and open days.
• Participate in policy development, maintain records, prepare reports and manage referrals.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Psychology with proven experience in school settings.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in the UAE.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and strong interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
