School Nurse

About the role

The School Nurse at Arcadia Global School provides essential health care to students and staff, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment. This role involves assessment, intervention, and follow‑up for physical, mental, emotional and social health needs, while acting as a bridge between the school, families and the wider healthcare community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and first‑aid measures for students and staff as required.
• Administer daily medications, nursing procedures and vaccinations in line with physician orders and DHA schedules.
• Initiate and manage emergency procedures and follow DHA protocols for school clinics.
• Maintain accurate health, immunisation and clinic records, and submit required reports to DHA and senior management.
• Conduct health screenings, manage referrals and keep parents informed of health information.
• Contribute to health‑education initiatives, develop “Kid’s Club” wellbeing activities and promote a positive school health culture.
• Follow procedures for suspected child abuse and neglect, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.

Required profile

• UAE Medical Health Authority (DHA) license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
• Minimum two years of experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
