The school seeks a dedicated Secondary Geography Teacher to share responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing geography lessons. The role aims to inspire students, promote high standards of literacy and help pupils reach their academic potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver geography lessons that challenge and engage pupils.
• Set clear learning targets, build on prior progress and monitor attainment.
• Identify and support SEN/EAL learners.
• Maintain structured, paced lessons with effective questioning and feedback.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and appropriate resources, including ICT tools.
• Assess student work, ensure coverage of the curriculum and record progress.
• Mark, display and present student work to high standards.
• Uphold school rules, discipline, dress code and ensure pupil safety and well‑being.
• Contribute to subject policy development and school improvement plans.
