Secondary Physics Teacher

About the role

The Westminster School Dubai is seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Physics Teacher to deliver the Cambridge IGCSE Physics curriculum to our secondary students. You will create a stimulating learning environment that prepares learners for board examinations and scientific competitions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging IGCSE Physics lessons.
• Develop lesson plans, worksheets, schemes of work and assessment materials.
• Conduct practical experiments safely and train students in experimental techniques, data analysis and report writing.
• Identify individual learning needs and differentiate instruction.
• Mentor students for science competitions and projects.
• Maintain accurate records, grades and progress reports.
• Participate in parent‑teacher meetings, faculty meetings and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics.
• B.Ed or equivalent teacher qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience teaching IGCSE or equivalent board curriculum.
• Proven track record of strong examination results.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE Physics syllabus and assessment criteria.
• Ability to design and supervise laboratory experiments safely.
• Competence in preparing assessment materials and reporting student progress.
