Section Engineer

About the role

The Section Engineer will supervise and coordinate construction activities within an assigned section of a large civil project in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure that works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and the project schedule while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site engineers, foremen and subcontractors to achieve daily productivity targets.
• Monitor progress, record daily reports and flag potential delays to the Construction Manager.
• Coordinate with the Planning team to align site activities with the overall programme.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, inspection test plans and quality documentation.
• Work closely with the Safety Officer to enforce HSE requirements and intervene in unsafe conditions.
• Manage material storage, handling and usage in line with specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in civil construction.
• Proven ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction schedules, method statements and interface management.
• Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and HSE standards.
