Security Guard – Early Childhood Centre

About the role

The Security Guard ensures a safe, orderly environment for children, families and staff at La Maluk Village Early Childhood Center. Acting as the first point of contact, the guard combines vigilance with a welcoming attitude during peak drop‑off and pick‑up periods.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous presence at the main entrance during morning drop‑off and evening pick‑up.
• Welcome children and parents, manage polite communication and assist with entry and exit.
• Monitor staff, parents and guests, record visits in the logbook and enforce access‑control procedures.
• Verify identity of unfamiliar or unauthorized persons and follow visitor admission protocols.
• Enforce child hand‑over procedures, ensuring release only to authorized adults.
• Conduct regular patrols of indoor and outdoor areas, especially during playtime.
• Monitor CCTV cameras while respecting confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Respond immediately to any unattended child, safeguard the child until staff arrive.
• Follow established evacuation and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a security guard, security officer, access‑control specialist or similar role.
• Familiarity with visitor‑management, CCTV monitoring and emergency response protocols.
• Strong command of the English language.
