Security Manager – Dubai

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Security Manager will be based in Dubai and will oversee security, safety and risk management for operations in Libya, Iraq and Italy. The role combines strategic planning, coordination of local security providers and implementation of industry‑standard security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage all security‑related tasks across the company’s regional projects.
• Coordinate activities with local security companies.
• Implement and manage security and logistics procedures in line with Model 231 and the Risk Assessment Documentation (DVR).
• Deliver induction and training programmes for company staff.
• Provide cost‑effective security solutions and control measures aligned with best‑practice standards.
• Prepare technical proposals and negotiate contracts with third‑party providers, focusing on HS&S objectives.
• Develop and implement HS&S risk‑management and emergency‑response plans to meet project targets.
• Manage security budgeting, costing and contract administration.
• Resolve critical security issues across all projects.
• Liaise with Managing Director, COO, Project Director, Site Project Manager and Construction Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in security, safety or risk‑management roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (Human Rights Law), Political Science or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of HS&S practices, compliance and cultural‑political contexts in Iraq, Libya and Italy.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary security teams and manage third‑party contracts.
